Dr. Horvit was born in India but moved to the USA when she was only six weeks old!   She grew up in Pensacola, Florida.  Her undergraduate degree is in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans.  She went to Medical School and did her Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology residency all at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.  She is board certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism.  Dr. Horvit has been living in Austin since 1997, with her husband, Dr. Adam Horvit, and her two kids.  She initially worked for Seton Health Partners but then opened her current solo practice in 1999.
